Born On A Train: The Polaroid Kidd

Mark Brodie - AKA "The Polaroid Kidd" - left home at 18 to traverse the country on train cars (or using whatever means necessary). A nouveau Okie by choice, Brodie started photographing the punks and vagabonds he encountered along the way, illuminating a traveling culture largely unseen and unknown. Most are vagrants by choice, some aren't - but all are linked by the inextricable bonds created between those on the move and Brodie's breathtaking photographs illustrate the glassy-eyed world-weariness with deft candor.
