Just Because

Ran across this gem on my iPhone. This is the Quiksilver house in Hossegor, France. We were a few minutes from departing for London, an unnecessarily stressful trip which culminated in our bags not arriving at the same time we did. So though I didn't know it at the time this photo was taken, I was destined to spend the next 36-ish hours schlepping around London in the same duds (proof? See below, the following day, Spitalfields). What started out as a comfortable airplane outfit ended as the bane of my existence and I swore I'd never wear that shirt or those shorts ever again. Except naturally I have. But only after a good washing. And I realize, of course, that half my readership will scratch their heads and go, "So? So you wore the same shirt, same pants, same shoes for a couple of days. I do it all the time, because I am a male and I own exactly five articles of clothing."And the other half, of course, well nod knowingly and think, "That totally sucks."

I'm not exactly sure where I fall on the spectrum, to be honest, because I've been known to spend entire weekends in what is essentially the exact same outfit, but for whatever reason, at this particular moment in time, I was none too pleased to be threading through the streets of London in cutoff sweat pants.
